Fengyuan Wang/ 王冯渊
Born in Suzhou, China.
Based in Netherlands currently.
Fengyuan Wang is a designer with an interdisciplinary background in industrial and fashion design and holds an MSc in Industrial Design from Eindhoven University of Technology. Her work explores biofabrication and living materials for circular and sustainable solutions, employing a material-driven approach that integrates biological processes with digital fabrication to develop experimental applications that redefine material boundaries.
She treats living systems as co-agents, engaging not just with their performative or aesthetic qualities but as active collaborators. By navigating the intersections of humans, materials, technology, and ecological change., she emphasises sustainability, biodiversity, and more-than-human design, her practice challenges dominant notions of control, permanence, and industrialization, fostering co-evolving, symbiotic material futures.
